The exhibition “The Gods Return. The Bronzes of San Casciano” arrives at the National Archaeological Museum of Aquileia after its acclaimed editions at the Quirinal Palace, the National Archaeological Museum of Naples, the National Archaeological Museum of Reggio Calabria, and Berlin’s James-Simon-Galerie.
Curated by Massimo Osanna and Jacopo Tabolli, the exhibition is dedicated to one of the most significant archaeological discoveries of recent decades: the extraordinary Etruscan–Roman thermal sanctuary of San Casciano dei Bagni, in the province of Siena.
This major cultural event has been made possible through the collaboration of the Directorate-General for Museums of the Italian Ministry of Culture, the Directorate-General for Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape, the Superintendency for Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape for the provinces of Siena, Grosseto and Arezzo, the University for Foreigners of Siena, and the Municipality of San Casciano dei Bagni.
