On the occasion of the summer solstice and the Music Festival,
Fondazione Aquileia organizes, in collaboration with Mittelfest, a suggestive concert at dawn - Friday 21 June at 5.00 - in the archaeological area of the
ancient River Port of Aquileia (access will be permitted only from via Gemina). Entrance is free without reservation. The event is also organized thanks to the collaboration of the Municipality of Aquileia, Superintendence of archaeology, fine arts and landscape of FVG, Association of Entrepreneurs of Aquileia. The protagonists of the concert are
Anaïs Drago - an Italian violinist and performer who moves between the sounds of free improvisation, electroacoustic, classical and jazz music, collaborating with some of the greatest Italian and international names (Enrico Rava, Louis Sclavis) - and
Luciana Elizondo, originally from Rosario, Argentina who collaborates with various early music ensembles, with whom she carries out an intense concert activity also as a soloist in prestigious halls, theaters and festivals throughout Europe, Asia and Latin America.
The musical project "
Invenzioni a due voci" was born from the meeting of Luciana and Anaïs and expresses their artistic sensitivity in a plurality of voices: thus a musical journey is born that, starting from the homonymous compositions by J. S. Bach, arrives at contemporary worlds, both cultured and popular. The two instruments (one ancient, one modern) dialogue in a constant duet song, in which each voice moves autonomously but takes on a new light and a complete meaning only when superimposed on the other. The voices of the two instruments are added to the use of the voices, in a repertoire that includes some songs from the South American tradition (in particular from Argentina, Luciana Elizondo's native country), as well as original pieces by Anaïs Drago, compositions by contemporary authors specifically written for this formation, transcriptions and arrangements from the jazz repertoire and the avant-gardes of the twentieth century.
