Claude Andreini. Chicago
Claude Andreini. Chicago
Fascinated by the work of the American painter Edward Hopper and his ability to synthesize, Andreini offers seemingly simple visions of modern urban contexts. The details disappear in favor of the masses, but never oppressive. The atmosphere seems to Grevin museum, with wax figures, immobilized always both physically and morally, solitary beings despite being close to others. Hopper seems to propose a "day after" without destruction, forever.
