The Roman era. Public buildings and necropolises

This circular tour takes in the Roman city’s most important public monuments, of which the most prominent relics remain: the forum, the civil basilica, the port, the markets in the Pasqualis zones, and the Great Baths. Besides the public buildings, the route also touches on the two main burial areas visible in the city: the burial ground and the great mausoleum that was incorrectly reconstructed along Via Julia Augusta, which leads us to back to where we started, in the forum.
