For the little ones, it will be an authentic leap into the past in the company of a character from ancient Rome who will tell anecdotes and episodes of public and private life related to his experience.
It will happen in Aquileia, where from July 13 to September 28, three summer theatrical walks for children and teenagers will take place, set in the ancient Roman city.

During these events, boys and girls aged between 5 and 9 and boys and girls between 10 and 14 will have the opportunity to take a journey into the past through an itinerary with a talking passport. A playful moment will allow them to discover which games were most used in Aquileia 2000 years ago, including glass marbles, spinning tops, shells and even the ancestor of the ball.
The walk, lasting one hour, and which will require the mandatory presence of a parent or their delegate, will start from Piazza Capitolo and will be accompanied by an official FVG guide.

The visit program, promoted by Fondazione Aquileia in collaboration with the Municipality of Aquileia, the Basilica and the National Archaeological Museum of Aquileia, is designed and created by Fondazione Radio Magica ETS.

The next appointment for children aged between 5 and 9 will be on July 13 at 4:30 pm and 5:30 pm and will have as an exceptional guide the Emperor Augustus. The illustrious citizen who towards the end of the 1st century BC decided to base himself in Aquileia, a strategic place to closely follow the military actions aimed at keeping under control the turbulent situation caused by the populations of the Illyrians, the Pannonians, the Iapodes and the Liburnian pirates, will instead entertain children aged between 10 and 14 at 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm on July 13. Under Augustus, Aquileia became the beating heart of the Empire's life and it could only be the ideal travel companion for an exciting archaeological walk.

During the theatrical walks, Augustus will hand over the leadership to Trosia Hilara. On August 31st at 4:30 pm and 5:30 pm, the freedwoman Trosia Hilara, lanifica circulatrix, will act as guide for children between 5 and 9 years old. With hard work and sacrifice, she managed to start a business in the city of Aquileia on her own, which over the years became truly successful: a wool clothing company in which numerous helpers also worked. Also on August 31st at 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm, Trosia Hilara will accompany children between 10 and 14 years old.

The last theatrical summer walks will take place on September 28th. The exceptional guide this time will be Titus Annius Luscus, one of the triumvirs who, in 169 BC, increased the population of Aquileia with another 1500 families. As recalled by an inscription placed on the base of the statue in his honor, found in 1995 in the Forum, Titus Annius Luscus assembled the corpus of laws and delivered them to the colony, and integrated the city's senate three times.
