A residential area of Aquileia developed outside the oldest perimeter of the ancient city walls, west of its main road axis, today traced by the modern road (SR 352).
The two residential units belonged to the CAL fund (Cooperativa Aquileiese Lavoratori) and the Beneficio Rizzi fund, both acquired by the State in the 1950s.
The remains belong to more homes and date back to different eras of urban history of Aquileia. This means that the residences were subjected over time (from the 1st to the 4th-5th century AD) to numerous modifications, renovations and amalgamations.
